My Breaking Dawn Part 1 DVD Midnight Release

I think my dream job, outside of being a rock star, would be Party Planner.  I love anything with a theme and I always over-do.  Case in point: my party for the midnight release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 DVD.  Just look at the pics!

Devil's Food Cupcakes
Very Cherry Volturi Shots and Lemon Venom Shots
Chocolate Chess Board
Vampire Bite Cookies
Another chess board
More Lemon Venom Shots
Movie props
The table!
Bella's Bloody Punch

Now, guess how many people were at my party?  3!  Yep, all of that food was for my TwiBestie, JennyKate, my hubby, and myself!  I just couldn't help myself.  I was so excited for the DVD release and party that I went a little crazy.

Not pictured are the mushroom ravioli flown in from Bella Italia in Port Angeles, Washington that we had for dinner, the feathers I left on JK's bed (along with a sign that said "Edward can bite me any time"), and the canopy tent that my hubby set up in our living room, so that we could have our very own Tent City!

Even though I went a little overboard, we had a blast that night, watching all four Twilight movies and staying up until 5 AM talking about everything under the sun!

JK and me with our DVDs!

Did any of you celebrate?  If so, how?

  1. It was the bomb diggity!!! I love me some party planning too. If I could get paid for it, I'd do it full time in a heart beat!

I was thinking the other day that my top 5 PAID jobs would be (in no particular order): 1. Party Planner 2. Professional Fan Fic Reader 3. Photographer 4. Journalist 5. Rob Pattinson's umbrella holder

  2. The food and drinks look awesome. Sounds like you and JennyKate have a future business in the works. That is if she doesn't get the gig of Rob Pattinson's umbrella holder. :o)

  3. That looks amazing.

I spent the midnight release of the DVD sitting in a check out lane of Target with Living with Edward and DangrDonna to get out DVD tickets, then we sat in line to see the sneak preview of part 2, then we stood in line to pick up our DVDs and then stood in a different check out like to buy our DVDs. I wouldn't have had it any other way... except maybe to have been at your house ;)

My statement for the night was "I have spent the last 2 years pretty much standing in line for Twilight stuff." LOL!!!
